I use contemporary Chinese brushwork and western aesthetics
to transcend a traditional art form. With a passion for lines I develop
arrangements that allude to density and show a sense of community. The lines
capture silhouettes of rooflines that play to the imagination

This piece showcases the varied textures and rooflines seen
during my studies in Taiwan. An
important component behind the aesthetics of asian art is the use of
space. Depth and space are played
through the vacancies of some rooftops.

Orientation and shape accentuated the movement of the roof
lines and the feeling of density in an urban environment. The graphical quality of the impermanent
lines alludes to angles and shadows that may be seen in the distance.
